The Avenue in Leigh is one of our recent projects which began in July 2019 and reached completion in December 2020. With an impressive GDV of £1,907,000 as of February 2024, the project has not only succeeded financially but has also become future proofed by the dynamic layout.
The former bank and office space were revitalized into an impressive three-story building hosting 18 modern apartments, each equipped with ensuites and convenient parking at the rear. Spanning 10,000 square feet, this project holds historical roots as the original TSB England & Wales bank branch in Leigh, now known as Lloyds TSB.
Additionally the building was used as office space by Wardell Armstrong consultancy engineering firm, before planning was submitted in 2018 by DBR Builders (NW) Ltd to create 18 new contemporary apartments. The interiors were carefully designed to embrace a modern aesthetic, featuring unfurnished studios showcasing light grey walls with dark grey feature walls, doors, digital radiators, white skirting boards, and lively grey wood laminate. The unique touch extends to the fact that these apartments have been leased to a housing association charity, providing homes for vulnerable adults.
Our prime location across the road from the local Wetherspoons pub, next to an ASDA superstore, and in close proximity to Leigh Library, the local church, and various public transport links, has added tremendous value to the residents' convenience. The project is just a 4-minute walk from the Spinning Gate Shopping Centre, contributing to the vibrant town atmosphere.
With 17 apartments already sold and the final 1 remaining in the pipeline, the success of 2 The Avenue now extends way beyond the financial achievement. It stands as a testament to our commitment to transforming spaces, and the new direction we want to take in giving back to local communities with our developments. More Photos
