One of our latest development projects has undergone a series of foundational steps in helping the site progress with larger key areas of work. Let's take a closer look at the recent changes: 360 CCTV Solar Installation The installation of our 360-degree CCTV cameras powered by solar will enhance our security measures massively, ensuring the safety of the site and its assets. This comes with a 24 hour live-stream of the site and surrounding areas, accessible to all appropriate personnel.
Bricking up Doors. One of the first notable updates on Standish Mill was the bricking up of doors, a measure taken to enhance security and control access to the facility, whilst using this as the first step of creating new blueprints for the building and it's new use.
Time-Lapse Camera Installation The installation of a time-lapse camera as been installed and will be capturing the progress of the groundworks on Standish Mill, offering a unique visual record of the site's external transformation.
Container Stacking Containers have been strategically stacked to optimize storage space and streamline operations.
Steel Stairs for Welfare Units
In conjunction to the containers being stacked, the installation of steel stairs will now facilitate access to the upper and lower welfare units which will be host to a canteen, workers changing rooms, the site office and more - ensuring convenience and safety for all on-site personnel, too.
Asbestos Contractor Site Visit
A thorough initial site visit by asbestos contractors was conducted, ensuring that the site is asbestos-free and compliant with safety regulations.
Asbestos Removal
A crucial step in ensuring the safety of the site will involve the removal of asbestos from one corner of the building, mitigating potential health risks for workers - this is due to commence from the 16th of October. For now, this remains isolated and away from our current works on-site.
Ground Levelling Ground levelling work has been undertaken to create a stable and even surface, providing a solid foundation for the further developments due to take place. External Excess Removal The old external materials and structures like down pipes have been removed, enhancing the overall appearance and functionality of the site. Site Clearance The premises now remain tidy and safe for all workers following the removal of furniture and other clutter from the site. Welfare Units and Supply Connections Welfare units are now in place, with essential supplies such as water pipes, generators, electrical appliances, and plumbing to support the needs of workers due to be available in the upcoming week. Structural Opening and Drainage Structural openings are due to be be created this week, for the surface water flow to the main sewer to become optimized, preventing sewer overload and ensuring efficient drainage. Refurbished Units Units such as the canteen, changing rooms, and site office have been refurbished and spray-painted internally, providing a more comfortable and aesthetically pleasing environment for employees. There will be plenty more updates to come within the upcoming weeks! Stay tuned.
